The Cookie Sheet Activities for Early Literacy have certainly been popular activities for our little preschool and kindergarten friends. Whenever we can add a hands-on element to our activities we accelerate learning. There’s tons of research supporting the use of a multi-sensory approach! When you download the cookie sheet activities for early literacy you will receive three different activities targeting early literacy skills. The first activity involves alphabetic order. There are 9 templates available for upper- to lowercase matching, lowercase matching and just placing the letters in order.
There are 71 colorful pictures and 10 templates for learning and practicing the concept of rhyme. The templates are differentiated as you can choose to use either four or two rhymes.
Students can learn to build consonant-vowel-consonant words with 16 building words templates. The templates are differentiated as each template has a blank and printed word version. Using magnetic letters, students can learn to build words!
There are many ways to store your activities, but I found that the Sterilite containers that I purchased at Walmart work great. The containers are 15″L x 11 1/2″W x 3 1/4″H. If you choose to purchase multiple versions of the cookie sheet activities, they also stack so nicely in these containers.
To download the templates in this version, just click the link below.
This version is also available in the Cookie Sheet Activities Pre Kindergarten- Kindergarten Bundle. Volume 2 addresses early numeracy skills and Volume 4 addresses the skills of initial sounds and short vowels.
When you order the Printed Cookie Sheet Activities, I’ll do the printing for you! I’ll also send you a painted cookie sheet.
