Lucky You! for Sight Words and CVC Words

I just love the Lucky You! activities for practicing sight words and words containing targeted phonics skill. This activity is perfect for St. Patrick’s themed centers.  To assemble the activity all you’ll need to do is print the cards single sided to double sided and then cut the cards along the dotted line.

Now to play the game simply choose which and how many word cards to use. Place the cards word-side down on the table and have your students take turns choosing cards and reading words. If the player picks the “Lucky You!” card, he/she can choose two more cards. If the player picks the leprechaun card, well…. all the cards must be put back. The player with the most cards at the end of time wins the game.

The Lucky You! Dolch Sight Words activity  can be found in my online Teachers Pay Teachers store or through the Make, Take & Teach website.

The Lucky You! activity is a fast-paced game which allows for tons of practice opportunities.
