Pot O' Gold Activities for Beginning Sounds and More!

It’s time to bring out those St. Patrick’s Day activities! It’s a sign that spring is just around the corner. Last year I created quite a few Pot O’ Gold activities for working on everything from beginning sounds to r-controlled vowels. They’re just perfect for kindergarten and first grade centers around during the month of March. When you download the activity for beginning sounds you’ll receive over 100 colorful golden coins with pictures of letter/sounds. The activity is easily differentiated as you choose which and how many letter pots to use.

The Pot O’ Gold activity for short vowels contains 55 coins with words containing short vowel sounds. This activity is great for those kiddos who have difficulty hearing the differences between those tricky vowel sounds.

16 word family pots and over 125 coins are contained in the word families Pot O’ Gold activity. Many of our first graders are now practicing word patterns and this activity is perfect for independent centers.
