It’s December and winter is upon us. Celebrate the season by building a snowman! The Build a Snowman articulation activity is perfect for practicing early sounds while engaging students as they build their very own winter friend.
To fully enjoy this activity, you will need a large paint stick and velcro. First, put a strip of velcro on the large paint stick. Next, laminate the snowman pieces, cut them out and then place velcro dots on the back of each piece.
When you download the Make, Take, and Teach 4 Speech Build a Snowman activity, you will receive snowman pieces depicting images beginning with the following early sounds: /p/, /b/, /d/, /t/, /m/, /n/, /k/, /g/ and /f/. Students are to say their target sound depicted on each piece as they build their snowman. Each snowman set has between 13-27 pieces.
Enjoy your winter fun!
