Dry Erase Pockets- All About Vowels!

I’ve been absolutely lovin’ those dry erase pockets I picked up at Walmart during their back to school sale.  My goodness, they were only a little over a $1.oo each!  My mind is literally spinning with activities to create to use with them.  The kids really like this twist on what would normally be a black and white worksheet.  The pockets are particularly helpful during small group instruction when working on targeted phonics skills. I know so many of my first grade friends are working on short vowel sounds so creating a dry erase pocket activity for short vowels seemed to be a logical fit.  For each vowel, there is a word family page where the student is to write
