Hello and welcome to the Make, Take & Teach blog. I am so happy that you stopped by. I started Make, Take & Teach about 7 years ago with the introduction of the Teacher Intervention Kits. My goal was, and still is, to provide teachers with multi-sensory activities that align with assessments commonly administered in schools to meet the needs of all learners within their classroom. MT&T has grown over the years to provide activities in digital formats that can be purchased through the MT&T website and through Teachers Pay Teachers.
I started my career as a Speech/Language Pathologist and have held several positions since that time including teaching a preschool classroom for students with severe language impairments and Autism Spectrum Disorder. I am currently a Teacher Consultant for Special Education. I provide diagnostic services as well as support for students with various disabilities within their special education and general education classrooms. My specialties include early literacy, prevention of reading difficulties/disabilities, and Response to Intervention/Multi-Tiered System of Support.
I am a proud resident of the mitten state (that would be Michigan) with my husband and three college students. I absolutely love living in Northern Michigan where we enjoy participating in recreational activities year-round!
A.J. attends Michigan State University (Go GREEN!), and Kassie and Lizzie both attend Central Michigan University.
Feel free to email me at [email protected] I’d love to hear from you!
