These alphabet activities for Valentine’s Day are perfect for your kindergarten literacy centers during the month of February! Actually, these alphabet activities can be used year round! Although all the activities can be used for small group instruction and independent centers, this Valentine Bear activity is particularly ideal for independent centers as it has a self checking feature.
So here’s how that self checking feature works. First students place the beginning sound pictures on the corresponding alphabet bear template.
Once all the pictures are placed on the template, the students turn the cards over and if the upper- and lowercase letters match, their responses were correct. Super easy! Great for teaching beginning sounds or upper- to lower-case letters!
The Valentine Bear Alphabet Match activity is available in my online Teachers Pay Teachers store.
The Valentine Beginning Sounds activity is another “sweet” Valentine’s Day themed activity. Simply print the hearts and cut along the dotted line. Students match the beginning sound of the picture to the letter.
The Valentine Beginning Sounds activity can also be found in my TpT store.
When you download the the Be My Valentine Beginning Sounds activity you will receive the alphabet templates and over 115 colorful hearts with beginning sound pictures. This activity is easily differentiated as you choose how many templates and hearts to use!
The Be My Valentine Beginning Sounds is available in my TpT store too!
Although these activities are perfect for Valentine’s Day, they can actually be used all year long. Enjoy!
