Rhyme and Alphabet File Folder Activities
Rhyme and Alphabet File Folder Activities – We absolutely LOVE file folder activities! So easy to assemble – and once assembled, they last for years. Everything you need is just right there! Just grab your desired folder and the activity is ready to go!
To assemble the file folders simply cut the templates according to the directions, glue them on a file folder, and laminate. Then, cut and laminate the apples. I like to use velcro with my activities so I put a piece on the back of the apple and above the basket, but this isn’t necessary.
The apple file folder activities for early literacy are perfect for introducing the skills of rhyme, letter-sound correspondences, and CVC words.
Apple Rhyme File Folder Activities
When you download the file folder activities for rhyme you will receive four templates (that’s four separate activities) with corresponding rhyming apples. Two templates contain baskets/apples for 9 rhyming matches and the other two templates for 6 rhyming matches. This way you can easily differentiate the task.
The File Folder Apple Rhyme Match can be found in my online Teachers Pay Teachers store.
We have two different file folder activities for learning letter-sound correspondences. The Apple Themed Sound Match activity is great when first learning the letters and sounds of the alphabet as it provides targeted practice with discriminating two letter sounds. This is a perfect phonemic awareness activity. The presentation of the letters follows the sequence of a commonly utilized reading curriculum.
Alphabet Sound Match File Folder
When you download this activity you will receive the templates for creating 12 file folder activities! Each activity contains apple baskets for two-letter sounds and 10 corresponding apples for sorting. That’s over 100 colorful beginning sound sorting apples in this activity!
The File Folder Apple Themed Sound Match activity can also be found in my Teachers Pay Teachers store.
Alphabet Match File Folder
The file folder activities for beginning sounds contain six templates with baskets/apples for 6 beginning sound matches and the two templates for 9 beginning sound matches- that eight different file folder activities! Again, having different numbers of matches allows for differentiation.
Of course, you can find the Apple Match Beginning Sounds activity in my TpT store.
