Fun Games for Practicing Phonics, Sight Words, CVC Words, Magic e & R Controlled Vowels

Games For Practicing Phonics! I just love the Lucky You! activities for practicing sight words.  CVC Words, Magic e, and R Controlled Vowels games for words containing targeted phonics skills available also. These activities are perfect for St. Patrick’s themed centers.  Assemble the activity by simply printing the cards single-sided to double-sided then cut along the dotted line. Before you begin the game choose which cards and how many to use. Place the cards word-side down on the table. Your students will take turns picking a card and reading the words. If a player picks the “Lucky You!” card, he/she can choose two more cards. If a player picks the leprechaun card, well… all the cards must be put back.

Dab It! Fun Phonics Learning Games

Fun Phonics Learning Games! Need a fresh idea for a fun phonics learning games? I just absolutely LOVE the Dab It! game. It’s always amazing that something so simple can be so engaging. All you need to do is print the template you’d like to use and grab a few bingo dabbers (I can usually find them at the Dollar Tree). The activity is played much like 4-In-A-Row. Players take turns reading a word and “dabbing” the spot. The first player to get five of their colored spots in a row (up, down or diagonally) wins the game. St. Patrick’s Day Phonics Activities! It’s always fun to add a little holiday spirit into a literacy center or small group instruction activities. That’s why I created these St. Patrick’s Day Phonics Activities. I just love the 4-In-A-Row games because it’s so quick and easy to set up and requires only a few colored bingo chips and the game board.
