Bunny Addition Game
The Penguin Addition activity was such a hit that I thought I’d create a Bunny Addition Game for a spring-themed activity along the same line. Goldfish crackers worked great as the manipulatives for the penguins, but I just couldn’t find just the right manipulative for this activity until I stopped in at our local Walmart. This package of foam stickers had just what I was looking for! Of course, what I really wanted was only those small foam eggs, but the spring-themed animals were so cute…I think I’ll be able to put them to good use.
Of course you could use jelly beans as the manipulative, but I was afraid things could get a little sticky 🙂 These foam eggs were absolutely perfect. If you don’t live near a Walmart, the Dollar Tree often has small items that could work.
Bunny Addition
The Bunny Addition activity contains two different types of templates so that you can differentiate the activity to fit the needs of your students. The first set of templates have the addition problems with the visual of the numbered item in the area. This is helpful for students who are not yet solid with 1-1 correspondence. The second set of templates do not have this prompt.
The Bunny Addition activity can be found in my online Teachers Pay Teachers store or through the Make, Take & Teach website.
Happy Spring!
