Many of my Pre K and Kinder friends are now learning the skill of rhyme. Teaching students rhyme is important as is helps develop those early phonemic awareness skills of appreciating that words consist of separate speech sounds that can be changed to create new and different words. I created these cards specifically for centers as they have a self-checking feature. The cards are also differentiated. For those kiddos just learning rhyme you may wish to use the cards where there are only three options. There are cards with 6 options for students who are a little more advanced.
Creating the activity is pretty simple. Just print, laminate and adhere the sticker on the back of the card behind the correct answer. Although it’s not necessary, I glued a star at the end of a clothespin just to jazz it up a bit. Student just clip the clothespin on the answer.
If the answer(s) is correct, the clothespin will be covering the sticker dots on the back side. Wha-la! Super simple and the little ones just love it!
When you download the activity you will receive 34 differentiated clip-it cards!
