This coin sorting freebie is a great first step to learning money skills at home and in the classroom.
Students first need to understand that the coins differ in size and shape.
They need to identify the coins before accurately count coin values.
Although you can find plastic coins at any dollar store I’d recommend using real coins.
It’s often difficult for our young learners to make that jump between the fake and the real money.
