Teaching Long and Short Vowel Sounds
If you’ve been following my blog for a while now, you know that I absolutely LOVE file folder activities. Sure, they take a little bit of assembly on the front end but once assembled, you can use them over and over again. Just grab the file folder containing the skill you wish to teach and all the materials are there for you. This particular file folder activity was designed for teaching long and short vowel sounds to my kindergarten and first-grade friends. When they are just learning that vowels have two distinct sounds. Sorting activities are perfect for teaching skills such as this.
When you download this activity you will receive two sets of long and short vowel sound bones for sorting! Ideal for independent literacy centers.
