You just can’t beat fall in Northern Michigan! The changing of the colors is nothing short of amazing! September and October brings field trips to the pumpkin patch, hayrides, apple cider, sugared donuts and pumpkin carving. It’s a fun time of year. In celebration of fall, Kyle (fabulous artist) created these adorable scarecrows. Since many of my first grade friends are learning to read CVC words I thought I’d create a fall-themed activity for this skill.
When you download this activity you will receive 39 colorful scarecrows with CVC words and pictures. The self-checking feature of this activity makes it ideal for small group instruction or as an activity for your literacy centers. Enjoy!
The CVC Scarecrow Match can be found in my online Teachers Pay Teachers store or through the Make, Take & Teach website.
