These candy corn rhyme activities and alphabet activities have certainly been a hit for fall themed literacy centers! They are perfect for our kindergarten and first grade students just learning the concept of rhyme and the letters and sounds of the alphabet. These activities are ideal for small group instruction as well and for sure you’ll want to differentiate the activities by choosing how many and which candy corns to use within your centers or during your small group instruction.
They are super simple to make. Just print the candy corns (I usually print mine on card stock), laminate and then cut out the pieces. Once cut, you’ll have activities that will last for years!
When you download the Candy Corn rhyme activity you will receive 24 candy corn rhyme pieces. Students match the rhyming pictures. A few of my teacher friends shared that they added a self-checking feature by placing three of the same stickers on the back of each rhyming candy corn. Brilliant!
The Candy Corn Rhyme activity is available in my Teachers Pay Teachers store or through the Make, Take & Teach website.
The Candy Corn Alphabet activity contains candy corns for the 26 letters of the alphabet. Again, this is a fun activity for your fall themed centers!

There are also 24 candy corn matches contained within the Candy Corn Vocabulary activity. For this activity, students match the pictures that “go together”. You can encourage expressive language by having your kiddos explain why they grouped these items. This activity is particularly helpful with our ELL and language delayed students.

Enjoy and happy fall!
