File Folder Category Activities!
Working on building vocabulary through learning categories can be fun and engaging with these file folder category activities! I love targeting categories with my students because it builds vocabulary and provides a way for students to describe objects. I am consistently pulling this activity out of my closet for therapy sessions. My students love naming the objects and categories then placing the items into their appropriate group.
There are 13 different categories to target with many vocabulary words that apply to each category.
How to assemble:
First, simply print the category templates on office paper. Then adhere to the insides of a file folder. Finally, laminate if desired. Have your students name the pictures and sort the pictures into their categories.
This activity is easily differentiated as you choose which and how many categories for sorting.
You can find this activity in the TpT Make, Take and Teach for Speech Store also our Make,Take & Teach Store.
