Phonics Games for St. Patrick’s Day

St. Patrick’s Day is just around the corner so it’s time to pull out all those phonics games for St. Patrick’s Day! The Pot O Gold activities are just a few of my favorite St. Patrick’s Day themed activities. Sorting activities are perfect for introducing a skill and these activities certainly fit the bill! Many of our kindergarten friends still need a little support with those consonants and vowels so we created the beginning sounds, short vowels and word family activities just for them. Our consonant digraphs and r controlled vowel activities are perfect for your first grade St. Patrick’s Day centers!

The Pot O’ Gold activity for short vowels contains 55 coins with words containing short vowel sounds. This activity is great for those kiddos who have difficulty hearing the differences between those tricky vowel sounds.

Next, for my first-grade friends I created the Pot O Gold activities for consonant digraphs and r controlled vowels! There are 48 colorful digraph coins for sorting and over 100 r-controlled vowel coins!
