Activities for Early Phonics Skills
Spring is just around the corner. It’s time to break out all those spring-themed activities! The Robin’s Nest activities for early phonics skills are one of my favorites.
For our little kindergarteners and first graders, I created these activities for letters and sounds, short vowel sounds and word families.
Beginning Sounds
When you download the Robin’s Nest activity for beginning sounds you’ll receive 25 adorable robin’s nests and 119 colorful eggs for matching the beginning sounds to letters.
You can download the Robin’s Nest for Beginning Sounds from my online Teachers Pay Teachers store.
Short Vowel Sounds
Short vowel sounds can be so tricky for our little beginning readers. Any additional practice with short vowels is helpful. When you download this activity you will receive 5 colorful robin’s nests, 72 eggs containing pictures with short vowel sounds and 90 eggs containing CVC words!
The Robin’s Nest Short Vowel Sounds activity can also be found in my online TpT store.
Word Families
The Robin’s Nest activity for word families includes 16 robin’s nest word family templates and 80 colorful robin’s eggs with word family pictures and 46 eggs with words only.
The Robin’s Nest Word Families activity can be found in my TpT store.
