Yeah! May is here! It’s really here. Living in the north, when the calendar says it’s spring it often doesn’t feel like spring at all. It is not uncommon to still have several inches of snow on the ground well into April. But when we flip that calendar to May- well, that’s when it feels like spring and that’s when I go grab those spring-themed resources. One of my favorite spring theme activities for teaching sight words are the spring themed sight word game boards. There are 4 different designs and 9 game boards containing words from the Dolch 220 sight word list. Each game board contains 25 words from each of the 9 lists. The game boards are great for either a small group instruction activity or for independent centers.
Black and white versions of each game board are also available in the digital download. These game boards can be copied and sent home with students for extra practice. If they’d like, they can also color their game boards!
The Spring Themed Game Boards for the Dolch Sight Words can be found in my online Teachers Pay Teachers store or through the Make, Take & Teach website.
The game boards are also available for practicing and learning CVC words and words containing consonant digraphs.
The Spring Themed Game Boards for CVC Words and Digraphs are also available in my TpT store or through the Make, Take & Teach website.
