St. Patrick’s Day is just around the corner and it’s always fun to add a little holiday twist into small group and center activities. The Lucky You! activities are super quick and easy to assemble. Just print and cut the word cards and you’ll have a holiday themed activity ready to go!
Especially if you are using the activity for the sight words, you’ll want to be sure to differentiate the activity by choosing which and how many cards to use. Simply place the desired cards on the table and have your students take turns picking a card and reading the word. If the student picks the “Lucky You!” card, he/she can choose two more cards. If the student picks the “Leprechaun” card, all the cards must be put back in the pile and play continues. The player with the most cards at the end of time wins the game. It’s super simple to play and your students will just love it!
The Lucky You! Dolch Sight Words Game can be found in my online Teachers Pay Teachers store or in the Make, Take & Teach website.
This activity is also available for Fry Sight Word list. It can be found in my TpT store or in the Make, Take & Teach website.
For my kindergarten friends just learning to read CVC words, we created this activity just for you! When you download this activity you will receive 160 CVC word cards! Again, you may not want to use all the cards at once- you can easily differentiate the activity based on the vowels you wish to target.
The Lucky You! CVC activity can also be found in my TpT store or in my TpT website!
The magic e activity is perfect for my first grade friends just learning this rule. We’ve also created the Lucky You! R-Controlled Vowels as many first graders are learning this phonics concept as well.
The Lucky You! Magic e activity, of course, can also be found in my online TpT store or in the Make, Take & Teach website.
Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
