Phonics Activities for St Patrick’s Day
It’s time to bring out those St. Patrick’s Day activities! It’s a sign that spring is just around the corner. Last year I created quite a few Pot O’ Gold activities. They’re for working on everything from beginning sounds to r-controlled vowels. Perfect for kindergarten and first-grade centers during the month of March.
Here are the March featured Pot O’ Gold Phonics Activities for St Patrick’s Day.
Pot O’ Gold Beginning Sounds
When you download the activity for beginning sounds you’ll receive over 100 colorful golden coins with pictures of letter/sounds. Choose which and how many letter pots to easily differentiate the activity.
The Pot O’ Gold Beginning Sounds activity can be found in my online Teachers Pay Teachers store or through the Make, Take & Teach website.
Pot O’ Gold Short Vowels
The Pot O’ Gold activity for short vowels contains 55 coins with words containing short vowel sounds. This activity is great for those kiddos who have difficulty hearing the differences between those tricky vowel sounds.
The Pot O’ Gold Short Vowels activity can also be found in my online TpT store or thorough the Make, Take & Teach website.
Pot O’ Gold Word Families
16-word family pots and over 125 coins are contained in the word families Pot O’ Gold activity. Many of our first graders are now practicing word patterns so this activity is perfect for independent centers.
You can find the Pot O Gold Word Families in my TpT store or through the Make, Take & Teach website too!
Digraphs and R-Controlled Vowels
Next, for my first-grade friends. The Pot O’ Gold digraphs and r-controlled vowels activities are just for you! There are 48 colorful digraph coins for sorting and over 100 r-controlled vowel coins!
