The snowball fight game is actually one of my favorites. It’s a fast paced game which allows for tons of practice opportunities. Students take turns choosing a snowball and reading words. If they pick a snowball with a bear they have to put all their snowballs back in the pile. Play continues until you choose to stop and the player with the most snowballs wins the game.
The Dolch Sight Words Snowball Fight game can be found in my online Teachers Pay Teachers store.
The Fry Sight Word Snowball Fight game can also be downloaded in my Teachers Pay Teachers store.
Climb and Slide games are fun for practicing sight words too! Assembly is super simple – just glue the templates onto a file folder, grab a few game pawns and dice and you’ll have everything you need!
When you download the file for the Dolch sight words you’ll receive three templates for creating the activity for the Dolch 220 sight words. Each file folder is differentiated. Folder one contains words for lists 1-3, the second for lists 4-6, and the final activity for lists 7-9. Just glue the templates on a file folder, laminate, and the activity is ready for use.
The Winter Themed Climb and Slide for the Dolch Sight Words can be found in my online Teachers Pay Teachers store or on the Make, Take & Teach website.
