I was out shopping last week and popped into JoAnn Fabrics. I found these super adorable spider buttons. LOVE THEM!
Just for my first grade friends I thought I’d make a spider addition activity for practicing addition. First you’ll need to laminate the template or place it in a dry erase pocket. You’ll then need dice and a dry erase marker. If you could find the plastic spiders, that’d be great, but if not there are other Halloween themed manipulatives that would work just as well. Have the student roll the die and then write the number in the square and count that number of spiders placing them on the web. After rolling a second time, writing the number and placing the spiders, the student can then add the two numbers! Just a fun seasonal activity for practicing addition. Feel free to download the template. Enjoy!
